Sled deck, what "deck" material for it?

Putting together a new aluminum deck and just looking for something a little fancier then wood for the top and curious if anyone had any good ideas on a composite type decking? had good luck with wood but always on the look out for something a little nicer.

Home Depot, and I'm sure others, sell a product called Deck Restore and you can have it tinted to a number of colors, including black.

I've only see this stuff in the store on actual display boards and it looks real similar to my buddies Rhino Liner in the bed of his pickup.

That aluminum does look good. Post some pics if you use that and let us know how it works.

I'm guessing they would be riveted to a metal frame.

Anyone know what it costs?

I would recommend the TREX decking or some other kind of solid composite decking material. It holds up really well unlike wood. I'm building a truck bed right now andI'm going to use the TREX decking on it and then bed liner it.

This is all fine and good, but think about how much expense and/or weight that you are adding?

Two sheets of GT plywood and floor paint is still under $100 and 100lbs.

Just something to consider!

The full lotus stuff works great and doesn't get to slippery. It comes in sheets
