im looking into buying a sled deck but im kind of not likeing the idea that i will have to take out my tool box that is in my pickup. i have an 04 dodge 2500 with a long box. so my question is could i buy a deck for a short box pickup and put that in the bed and leave my toolbox in or will that not work? any input would be great.

Does your tool box sit above the rails or below the rails? I am assuming you are still wanting to gain access to your tool box while the deck is on?

its a pro tech tool box and it sits above the rails. to me it seems like a deck for a short bed pickup would still fit with out taking that toold box out

Full Lotus sled decks
It depends on how much room you have infront of your wheel wells. We built one for a customer with the exact same request as you are having. We removed our headache rack and just installed the deck tight against the tool box.
