Sled Deck Plans question

I printed off a set of plans for building a sled deck (Redline Engine Performance), and have a couple of questions about them. What are the six 1/2 UNC nuts for? Also, on the side profile, there are two "nubs" shown on the 4x1/16 side plates. What are these? I plan on building this deck over the next couple of days.

The nuts are for hold-downs. Not sure about "nubs".

without seeing it I will just make an educated guess. the 1/2 nuts will be for holld downs and the nubs will either be lights or a spot to hook a tie down
