Sled deck for a 07 Toyota Tundra?

Got a Marathon on and '06 double cab. Airbags with 100psi and it handles like my D'Max. Plus the fuel mileage is better.

I orderd a 07 Tundra when they first came out and kept thinking about the payload of only 1460 pounds. A week before the truck arrived I cancelled the order and bought another F350. If Toy ever comes out with a heavier payload I will sign up for another one. 2 sleds, aluminum deck, and gear are going to surpass the Toy's capacity.

Im lost, are you looking for a deck to haul the Toyota on the back of the sled or the sled on the back of the truck? I would think it would be a wash either way.

With deck's on half tons you have to worry about whether the axles can handle the weight not the suspension. You can always beef up the suspension to handle more weight but what happens when the axle breaks? You'll be a 3 wheeled truck rolling down the hiway with 2 sleds on the deck. I considered putting a deck on a half ton but it's not worth the risk. Buy a bigger truck and feel safe driving down the highway. IMO.

I thought BC highway cops were pretty hard on 1/2 tons with decks. The word is don't even bother going because the they will shut you down...vacation over.

I have had no problem hauling 2 nytros on my deck all over MN I own a 02 dodge ram 1500 sport it has a the HD1500 suspention. Payload 1500lb 2 Nytros + Deck = 1500lbs.

I had a deck on my old F-150. It works fine. I put Timbren over loads on it. Don't let anyone tell you that a half ton won't work with a deck, it works just fine. Put some sort of helper whether that be bags, timbrens or add a leafs. A sway bar would be cool as well. Anyway good luck. The Tundras are pretty rad trucks.

I'd be more concerned with the brakes. The brakes are rated for a certain weight, put more than recommended and you may overheat and burn them up. Especially in the mountains.

you need to add in passengers 2@ 200, extra fuel, gear, beer etc.
