Sled Colors

Planning on powdercoating everything on my sled. I need help on what colors to make what.
The two colors I am going with is something similar to RSI blue, and white. Here is my question...Should I make the tunnel blue and my coolant rails white, or should I make my tunnel white with blue coolant rails?
Thanks for any inputs on painting in general.

So everything on the sled is gonna be blue and white I'm guessing? I guess in order to give you an answer I'd need to know what the whole sled looks like! :D

Yes the whole sled is going to be blue and white. here is a picture of the sled right now...

Here is what is it looked like before the tear down...

I am going with the 09 front end, all new plastic. I want to paint everything from the rear bumper to the front. Plastic/windshield/Gas tank/ rear suspension/ front suspension/ new bars/ hood/ and the entire rest of the chassis...EVERYTHING!
Im replacing the seat with a MX seat to match the color scheme. Its going to be having Better Boards so I would also like those the opposite color of the tunnel/same color as the coolant rails.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nolan

what color are you doing the hood etc? Just so I can get an image in my head..sorry visual person here :)

Im up for suggestions! Let me know how you would do it if it were your sled! I plan on going with white skis because they are obviously easier to come by then the RSI blue if that helps any. I would like to put some sort of white wings running across the hood so maybe a blue background would be better for that? The wings are just an idea, nothing is written in stone. Here is what the new front end is going to look like. I would like to keep the bumper white also. http://www.ftxmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=67&osCsid=nkogkv8skfg6ne2liarqsjnt57

Thanks,
Nolan

well first off, it wouldn't be an RMK...haha I'm kidding, if I got time I'll see if I can come up with something and post it! :D Sounds cool!

Any ideas/updates on how to lay out the colors?

Yea, Im torn between the blue white or a light green and white. The blue seems like alot better choice.
I hope to make it a good build. I've been talking to carl's cycle and finally convinced them to make me the last 975 kit they would make. I really got luck their!

Here is the list for the build:

SLP push arm
SLP torque arm
Radiator Removed
Fire n' Ice Air box
Fox shocks all around
Holz front/rear suspension
Holz spindles
V Force 3 reeds
Gearing (have to find out what works well with the 975)
Boondockers Nitrous/Controller box 3lb bottle
SLP pipe
SLP y-pipe
MBRP Can
09 front end with COBE bumper
8" risers with FatBoyFrenchies Oiler cable
Better Boards
Vents all around
Compfusion engine mounts
Billet chaincase cover
slydogs or gripper ski's
8" big wheel kit
and either a custom fabricated MX seat or at least SKINZ rear seat support like the raw chassis has.

AND OF CORSE THE PAINT!!

I've always wanted to have a blue/white sled with some nice colored accents on it. This is how I'd do it.

Blue tunnel with white better boards and cooling strips.
White Powder Pro's with blue tips.
Blue hood with white lettering(maybe some grey or something to outline the letters).
RSI has a nice blue/white handlebar pad that would match this color scheme nicely.
8" billet wheels with some blue or white accents(don't know what would look better).
I'd go with the Skinz black seat cover.
I think I heard about some place that was making different colored bellypans, can't remember where though. Maybe Polaris has a blue bellypan for the IQ's?
