Sks gear ratio and sizes?

Does anyone know what sks gear ratio will be with 2.6 looking to compair with my pro ride rmk case need to get gears like had to for 15 rmk for my liking also anybody with ratio chart with pro ride sized chaincase distances

I think I remember the 2.6 track is geared at 2.26.
I could be mistaken though.

I think that's the ratio for the belt drives...same ratio for chaincase models? Be nice to know the gear/chain combo.

Gears on the SKS... 20tooth top... 40tooth bottom (2.00:1)
With the the smaller 7 tooth, 2.86" pitch drivers making for 2.23:1 "compensated" final-drive ratio. (using our old scale of 8 tooth, 2.86" pitch drivers)

One thing we, as Polaris riders are going to need to get into our thought process... is the stock smaller drive sprocket sizes... the actual ratio is 2.00:1.

This is the same gearing combo on the Assault with BOTH the peak 2.25" and the 2.6".

We don't really need to make an adjusted ratio, like I pointed out in this tread in 2014, http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369638.... just think of how the ACTUAL ratio works with the new drivers and tracks.

No need to do "compensated" ratio IMO.

MH, I do feel the need to do compensated ratios to figure out where I need to be in relation to what I was running on my Pro and SBA. Until I get a 'feel' for the new sled, it helps to be able to compare to what worked in the past on my other sleds. Final ratio for the SKS/Assault is 2.17 if my math is right (bottom gear/top gear/.92)....you are saying it's 2.23.

Why no need for compensated ratio? Not sure I follow.....

It's a long summer and I like to have all my gearing, clutching, mod plans all laid out by early fall! Thanks for the info....food for thought.

Correction factor for a 3"-pitch, 7-tooth is .92.... for a 2.86-pitch. 7-tooth...which is all that the SKS has available .... correction factor is .88.
(from this thread: http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369638)

2/.88 = 2.27:1 actually... but probably some variance for true measured circumference of the production driver if Polaris is calling final drive ratio 2.23:1

Cheers,
MH

So stock sks 2.6 will be closer to pro ride rmk with 19/42 and stock track/drivers so one tooth off top sprocket from factory. So That helped my 15 rmk alot just dropping one tooth but I will just run sks way it comes to see how it acts thank you all for the answer to my question

This is starting to make my head hurt.... With 7 tooth and 2.86 driver I need the gears that best match up to a Pro geared at 23/39 and 22/40
