Just got back from a road trip to Skinz Protective Gear. The last time I was there it was 5 years ago and oh how times have changed. 46,000 (23,000 is being built now) square feet plus another 12,000 sq ft of shop space. What a super impressive facility and the people of Skinz are FANTASTIC! We got to see all the new stuff as well as work on some development products. Next Fall is going to be HUGE and I don't know if the industry is ready for what's coming!
Hopefully the customer has felt the improved delivery times from Skinz because as a dealer we sure have. In house, CNC's, powdercoat ovens, vacuum forming presses, state of the art welding equipment has all made this possible.
After seeing the new facility it explains why they are truly the most innovative company around. I learned a lot, saw a lot and drove a lot but it was so worth the trip! The Skinz family is so awesome to work with and I really consider them to be a second family to me.
To top the trip all off I saw my first Michigan Moose on my way home in the U.P.
