I'm looking at the arc system which seems like a really good product but I'm having a real hard time pulling the trigger on a 2k product that looks to cost about $300 to build. I get it with r&d and patents blah blah blah but what the hell. Am I not seeing something here that justifies the 2k.:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con

no your right, another prime example of poor marketing. Cut your price in half and everyone would have one trippling your profits

Totally agree on it being way over priced. It's damn near 2/3 the cost of a complete rear skid.

Ya seems like stupid high money but a cool idea if it actually will hold the front end down.

I did carefully price out the stuff and it adds up to more than you initially think. Discounted everything and it was 600 before you build a rear mount and new rear scissor.

Shoot, id stick manual and go with the raptor shock, much more affordable option, solid shock and performance at a much more managable price. Luckily the Axys models have a little better rear linkage setup then the XM models, I have seen a few snapped off . They warrantied it all, I just was not very impressed with the bracket design/durability.

With all that being said I think I'll put my 2k on boosting another sled and dig a bigger hole :face-icon-small-hap

I'd buy a k mod skid before I spent 2k on this... It does work but for what it is not worth the money. My sled does real well with exit shocks dual rate front springs, rear springs and set up properly. I'll add 2k else where on mine

I bought one. I'm riding a '16 Axys with BD Turbo and 3.2 Camo 162. I went with the manual switch as I prefer the positive feel of the manual lever over the electric dial and I don't have to look down to see if my dial is in the correct location. I can feel the lever without looking and I know exactly where I'm set.

I really do like the stock skid and how responsive it is, especially in and out of creek drainages and darting through tight trees. I'm also running Fox Float 3 Evol QS3-R's front and rear.

The beauty of the Arc is having the ability to change coupling positions instantly. I've found myself using the Arc while boondocking through drainages and short steep creek beds, not just the bigger wide-open climbs. Having the ability to access the Arc system without stopping and getting off to turn a dial in the skid is sweet.

I've also had a K-mod skid which worked great. It didn't have the playfulness of the stock skid, but keeping the front end down was excellent, and the ride was great too. You can't go wrong with K-mod.

Yeah, the Arc is pricey. So is race gas....and gear....and trailers....and diesel....you get the point. Arc is a great product and it works. Two thumbs up in my book.

Agreed! This is WAAAAYYYY overpriced...unfortunately.

The Arc and the Kmod are for two different riders. I feel the Kmod suites a wider range of riders than the Arc, probably by a huge margin.

I've had them both. Both do what they are supposed to.

Two different riders as in one wants to adjust his coupling on the handlebars and the other wants to adjust by getting off and crawling under the sled?

I understand that the KMOD is built of high quality components.
I think adding a cable adjustment to the coupling block would be ideal. (If it worked with ice buildup)

Kmod.

You get a complete skid with two high end shocks for $2650.

You can sell your take off skid and shocks and be way ahead money wise when compared to just adding the ARC to the stock skid with stock shocks. Not to mention you're way ahead performance wise as well.

No question the Kmod skids are awesome. I picked ARC for a few reasons.

1.) on the fly adjustability. Not a lot of situations where I want to deal with stopping and adjusting. Plus what if your all iced up.

2.) balance. I like the balance and handle of the stock skid. Front end pops when you need it to. Entire sled is dialed according to adjustments on the scales. I am afraid with aftermarket this will be lost.
