Skidoo...your sled covers suck!!

Buddy just got an XP. 3 trips from Edmonton out west and all the seams are ripped wide open. Fellas, put down the poutine and use both hands on the sewing machine!!!

I have about 60 trips out west on my cover and there is not much left of it. Had to re-do all the seams well within the first year. Same with my brother.

Seriously considering making my own and selling them. Sure not going to spend another $350 on one from BRP

Yup! Im getting really tired of BRPs junk as well. My cover looks like it is on its way out after half a season as well. Might have to start using the brand new M1000 cover I have sitting on the shelf. Might be a good theft deterent anyways. :D:D

Ditto on that...i think the biggest problem is they fit like s#$% and always have. The cat and pol tarps are way better in fit....will not buy another doo tarp or tunnel bag....aftermarket all the way.

My father had a polaris 900 cover that extened over the entire machine. It worked great for me. It fit very tight and kept the sled dry while driving 180 miles through snow storms and mountain passes. He got it on e-bay for 50 bucks. You might try that one.

Same thing for mine, seams ripping apart. Anyone know of a good tarp maker in Calgary? Had an idea to add some bungees instead of the buckles (also broken), and have the back of the tarp extended to cover the rest of the tunnel in addition to having all the seams re-sewn and reinforced.

Check out Skinz Protective Gear, they have a cover that is waterproof and looks really nice. I've heard nothing but good things about it. That's what I'm going to buy for my next sled.

My 08 cover fit so tight around the front that I have never been able to get it back off, never needed warranty, heck can't wait for the seems to fall apart so I can finally get to ride it!!!

I have a Skinz Protective Gear. VERY good. I had a 03 Renegade that I made an extension for it to stretch it to a 151" and I think it was a little longer. Cover was tight because of length but was very good. No rubbing or flapping around and you can run it through the wash machine when you are done. That is what they suggest. I now have a Rev 151" have not had to use the cover this year but I guess it should fit. That crap that the dealer sold me did not last very long. Tore on the first trip - gee that was $250 (6 years ago) well spent. The aftermarket ones are the way to go.

am using old polaris indys one for short tracks. had to modify it a little bit to fit my risers but i just stitched some denim to the gas flap area and then tie it up around the post, so the bars and controls are exposed to the elements.

quality right there! figure indy was 1998 and earlier. i know one of them came off an xlt, so i figure they are about 15 years old.

I use a Edge 151 cover on my 154. Fits better than the ski-doo one, covers the tunnel, you can get them cheap on ebay AND it's a security system for your sled. Who would be dumb enough to steal a Polaris??:D

I got the skidoo cover (extreme I think??) $260, 3 trips and the seams ripped open at the handle bars. Local dealer did return it for me. Also there expandable tunnel bag for the XP will tear apart in 2-3 rides.

Just got a new one from Royal, and it has the pull out on top for the risers that is made out of stretchy material and goes right down over the skis. It feels very heavy duty and has a liner on the inside. Really couldn't go wrong for the price since when I priced out Doo's covers they were almost 3 times as much.

Unfortunately the Skinz Protective Gear ones are pretty much sold out everywhere. If someone says they have one in stock, doubtful. They aren't mass producing them and I had another guy call them to discuss, they are not looking for more distributors, they have enough work is kinda the message that we got.

I'll give this one a try and let you know how it goes. Seems to fit tight and with the stretchy fabric up top, hopefully no flapping. Its the "Heavy Duty Deluxe Full Cover" near the bottom.

Snowskins cover & don't look back. Have a Rev cover thats had all open trailer miles & still looks new. Have an XP cover & also has a cover for tunnel(seperate piece) fits like a glove & both come with under cover. They are warrentied for life from defects. Don't confuse with the Snow skinz that makes all the other stuff & covers.
