Skidoo question

Right now I have an 03 800 Renegade that is now a 151" with just a little clutch work & the head is shaved just a little so I can run it at home (MN) and out west. Well I am considering putting my sled back to a 136" and maybe looking for a used Rev Summit. But it will depend on the financial situation. My sled now runs good and I really do not have any complaints with it other than I find that it will not climb as good as I would like and the shocks are not rebuildable. It seems each year I get a little more comfortable with trying to go a little higher than the year before. A friend had a new 700 Dragon 154" (I think that is the correct length) and it climbed very well - out did mine. I have never riden a Rev (don't know anyone that has one) but I have heard good things about them and I like Skidoo. What is a good year for a used Rev Summit? Just looking for some feedback on what you guys think is a good year for realiability. Not looking to break the bank on a sled either and I have no problems going back as far as 05 or so. Thanks for the input.

id go 04 there probably the most reliable from the guys i ride with that have doo's plus you can find them really cheap. the rev is hard to get used to but once you do they are great from what ive herd. get a 05 m7!! cats rock

06 was the best year for the Summit, in my opinion. not saying that other years are bad.

for your style the REV will be better for you. the M7 probably wont the sled for you but, who knows besides yourself. :)

His was a 155 thanks Bubba. It just seems the newer sleds are better set up plus my current sled is not a true mountain sled. I was impressed on how the newer sleds climb and handle. I know a lot of it has to do with the rider too. But the 700 motor on the Dragon was enough (not as much torque as my 800) to keep me in front of an avalanche and not get caught up in it. All I was thinking was I am on my friends brand new sled, I don't want to wreck it. At least it is a few months away before winter comes so I have time to look around and see how much I want to spend.
