After getting all the way up Primrose today and having the skies just barely start to let some sunlight through we had one of the guys in our group get jostled on a bump and snapped his handlebars off. Sucky, but trust me it could not have happened at a better place. Noone was hurt, just miserable towing a dead cat out five miles up Primrose trail... At least I had something to hang on to, he was hanging on for dear life to the gascap!!!
Anyways, I noticed after three or four miles, the oil can light on my 04 Summit 600HO would flicker. Reservoir is full, engine runs great. Seemed to only come on after extensive periods of low rpm full engaged clutch with lots of low end load on the motor. If I could get it to spin past 5500 it would not come on. It did not overheat at all, I was able to keep plenty of snow on the exchangers.
If the three riders that passed us going up when we were coming down are Snowesters, I hope you had a blast!!! It looked like it was just starting to get gorgeous up there when we had to turn back I am jealous!!!
