skidoo guys I need help 06 800 summit problem!!!!!

This sled runs perfect all the time except fo one situation well 2 actually and that is full thottle under load up a hill or accross a meadow in 10 " of sno or more after 45 seconds to 60 seconds and then it just quits!! and will restart with 1or2 pulls runs fine till that i repeated
PLEASE HELP I have tryed to fined this problem without success so far your input is apreciated thanks

hows your clutching your problem kind of sounds like the machine is loading up when it does quite on you does it spit and sputter or if you back out of the throttle and get back on it does it help

Sounds to me like your exhaust is being plugged by the powder snow, do you have a deflector ahead of your exhaust outlet ? If the exhaust cannot get out then the engine will die off and immediately start again when the exhaust outlet is cleared.

sounds to me like your running out of fuel after some time at wide open the bowls in the carb run dry. check your fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, and the float adjustment in the carbs. because it starts easily again i think you must be getting fuel to the carbs so it will most likely be the float adjustment. i had an old summit that would always pick up crap out of the tank and plug the lines or stick the needle and seat open. also when it does die are the plugs wet or dry?? if they are dry its a fuel problem if they are wet its your ignition.

on contrare, if the plugs are wet then it could be restriction in the exhaust or rave valves not opening all the way. does the engine get to peak rpm and does it get there quick or does it take a while?

Ihave the same sled. I used some prefilter in the two hood vents to keep snow out of the engine compartment The ecm used to be full of melted snow before. You could put some dielectric grease in the connection Probably not the problem but can't hurt to try. Mine was acting similar but the engine light was on. Turned out to be the TPS and dealer replaced it The sled now runs perfect

help

-what is a TPS
-allready replaced line& filter inside tank
-checked vent lines
- " for kinked lines
-head lite & gauges work fine
-teather seems fine
-dont' think exaust is plugged
-clutching works great in all conditions
-the floats are a one piece plastic, is this still ajustable & how?

Spark wires?

I'm having a bit of a similar issue and a lot of people suggested replacing the spark caps, mine would quit on one cylinder when it is running hard... just thought i'd throw another suggestion your way. could be both wires in your case.

i don't ride a rev but all my buddies do and they have relay that does something like that under load they now carry spares with them check that??
good luck
come to think of it i think it messes with the guages though so maybe no good seems like fuel if its under load

TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor but I think your engine light comes on when it is bad.
My engine light was on and before I took it to the dealer tried everything I had read on here. I replaced the relay above the secondary, put dieelectic grease in the ECM connection, cleaned the spark plug caps { I use a 38 caliber brass pistol bore cleaner} and spark plug tops. Light was still on. Took it to the dealer to diagnose and they said it was the TPS.
They replaced the TPS under the extended warranty and I also bought a new tether{I guess they can go bad too, so an extra is good} and it runs flawless. I may have had some bad gas too and nearly always run Iso but did not the first two trips. These are a lot of things to look at, but could be one or more of these things or something else. It is nice to have all these guys online with ideas to help as I was going crazy too. I feel your pain as these things run so good when all is well, but frustrating when they don't. Heading to Cooke City for 5 days tomorrowand hope it runs like it has been.

I would try replacing the relay (NAPA AR 143) its about 12.00 at the napa store. its located above the belt ziptied on the frame its a black sqaure looking box type relay.. it worth a shot for 12 bucks..NAPA AR 143
