OK I need some advice.. Im putting a 47 lb 07 m8 153 skid under my 159 viper to shave 30-40 lbs off it, and I need some set up ideas. from anyone with experience swapping skids.. How high should I mount the front bolt holes? how far should I drop the rear? whats a good measuring point to use for the holes? what would be the best approach angle for the track as I will have the chance to slide it back about 2 more inches.. any help would be great, I'm doing the swap next week, and I dont want to get it all done and find out it isn't set up just right, I don't want it to trench all day long... thanks alot guys!

Go to Totallyamaha - in the RX/RS Mountain section and start reading. There's tons of info about this. (I think your Viper's skid set up dimensions are similar to an RX).

I haven't checked on Totallyamaha but did you ever put the M8 skid in your Viper? I'm looking at an M7 skid for mine and wondered what I might encounter. I talked to a guy that used an M-10 from a Polaris and other than making his own drop brackets it went in easy.
