so i have a 144 rev and i would like to put a 150 track under it i was thinking of doing a 3inch set back in the skid or posibly a set of mountain machines rail exstensions so what do you guys think would the set back hurt any thing or will it help becasue i did a set back on my 700 but i have bean told that ont the rev it wont work? iam confused what you guys think
i also have the option of putting a off set axel to run 9inch wheels on my syuspension so if i turn that arond that will give me 1.5 extension right? or will the 9inch take up more because i know 1.5 is what 8inch take up ?

I prefer rail extensions. They are less likely to screw with suspension geometry. Also I like the way the track follows the skid more. It makes it harder to get the front end as light as you want it while still tracking on the flat. Front shock placement further back towards the light end of the sled seems to make it harder for me anyway.

If you go down and back it will not only help the geo of the drive system it will assist with the attack angle :)
I did the down/back on my '01 700 X HM and went from a 151 to a 156. I had to relocate my rear suspension arm forward 1.5" on my rails to keep from getting the "kickup" on whoops. :D
Smitty makes great drop brackets :)

so what iam thinking is taking my big wheel kit and turning it around to get 1.5inches and then a 1.5 inch set back on the skid i think i can get that set back with my stock brakets think it will work?

if it was me thats what i would doo ^^^^^. Ive done a few setbacks and drop and rolls in the past. Make sure the distance from front mounting hole and rear mounting hole stays the same.

Ya, that should work. There should be an extra hole already in your rails for the rear arm.

so iam guna do a 1.5" set back with the big wheel kit for the extra 1.5" but my question is will the 9" wheels take up more room than 8" wheels? if so how much
also what do you think of useing smittys drop brakets with this set up?

Just go 1" back. There are pre-drilled holes already set up for 1" fwd and back. It will make life much easier.
Get a hold of Smittys800 and get his drop down brackets. He makes a set with a set back. Make sure you move the front down 1/2 the distance you move the rear.
