Ski stance/ Shock length questions

hey guys
Since winter is around the corner iv been thinking bout making some adjustments to the front suspension of my sled. I was wondering if it would be better to make my sled narrower ( changing the hole that the rad rods are in on the trail arm) or would it be better to get longer shocks (18'') ? i do some boondocking and side hill and the sled feels somewhat hard to tip over for me.

The problem im facing is that im afraid it will be too tippy on the trails with me and my girlfriend on the sled with the high rise boss seat :face-icon-small-fro

A lil bit of input/advice would be great guys :)

thanks in advance

I am also wondering what is the best position for the radius rod to use in the trail arm for just sidehilling and deep snow.

How narrow can i make it without cutting the rods?

Sorry for borrowing your thread.

i just put a set of walker evans on my 01 edge. i took them back off not because of any front end problems but becasue it picked the sled up so high in front i couldnt adjust the track enough to get it down

well im running a 144 track with the track already dropped so thats not an issue and well i recently discovered that i cant add longer shocks cause my belly pan is in the way of the radius. whoever install it put it too far ahead

You will have too much Ski pressure if u have any powder and have stock skis. pull it in to the narrow hole and throw 8 inches of bar risers on there and u can ride it through 3 foot gaps all day long. I can keep mine on one ski on the trail for almost a mile. The only problem is if you do that don't ever plan to sit down. I love mine and u could not pay me to change it.

thanks alot snocross! i was thinking bout putting a higher riser and aftermarket bars but i dont really wanna loose my hand warmers. unless there is a way to keep them ?

Yea u could go as high as u want. U just have to make some extensions for the wires. there is between 7 and 10 of them and everything will be exactly the same. Just a butt connector in my case i did a 8inch piece of wire and another butt connector.
