Ski shock recommendations? 03 vertical escape

well it only took me 3 trips before I busted something on my new escape. I snapped the top of the shock piston off where it enters the eye.
I was looking at rebuild but it looks like the parts to rebuild it were expensive. I am also considering just buying new shocks.
This sled has the Ryde FX clicker shocks on the ski's. are these shocks worth rebuilding or should I replace them? If replace what is the recommended shock? I spoke with a guy this morning that was recommending fox deycore custom shocks.

suggestions?

I still ride an 03 escape that I bought new. I love the stock shocks. They are a great shock. However, If I was in your shoes, yes, that shock shaft and eye are very expensive to buy and rebuild. I think I would call Carls Cycle and have them build me a set of Fox Zero pro's for the front end of your sled. They are a great all around shock and much cheaper than the newer air shocks of any brand. Hard to beat the ride the ride of the zero pro's. They just don't have the bling appeal of an air shock an wiegh a lb or two more. If on a budget, there is no same in zero pro's. Alot of cross country racers here still prefer the reliabitly of a spring over the air shocks anyway!

Send it to Carl's and see what they will charge you. There are 3 or 4 different shafts for those shocks depending on which ones you ended up with and some are cheap and some are expensive. But those shocks are good shocks.

If they can't rebuild them for reasonable price then buy a set of Zero Pros.
