Ski Doo & Arctic Cat oil bulk buy

I have 55 gallons of BRP semi sythetic and arctic Cat APV oil. Selling BRP for $30 a gallon and Cat for $35. Discount for volume.

I don't want to start an oil debate here, lots of good oil out there but for those that don't want to risk a voided warranty when something goes bad, this is a much better alternative than 40+ a gallon plus tax from the dealer.

just a heads up the factory can not void warrantys over oil if it meet the specs of factory oil its against the law only if you use the wrong weight oil that is not able to be done with two stokes or dont me factory specs that most oils meet

Anyone see that BRP video claiming BRP oil is the only designed for the e-tec?

http://mountainblog.ski-doo.com/why-xps-oils/

I know the video link no longer works but according to the video they tested all top oils over a ton of hours and the wear was drastically different between the different oils. Maybe someone can find a working link. In my pro I run Klotz but in the e-tec I run XPS.

I also agree with bparks, unless they provide you with the oil it cannot possibly void your warranty to use any other. Also brp is making over 20$ a gallon on their oils, you bet they'll push it.

I am willing to bet you guys that what bparks is saying is true (legally), but which of us sledders has deep enough pockets to challenge Doo or Poo on it when they void our warranty due to not using their "special" oil???

I know I don't...so that's why I use what Poo tells me to use!

I/m sorry, but there isn't enough justification in the price difference between factory oil and aftermarket to even chance a warranty claim being denied...especially when you can buy in bulk here from TSTEFF.

Polaris voiding warranties because of sled alterations is one thing (even tho this is BS too and cloudy with the law), but oil is different. It's a law, so challening a manufacturer is a non issue IMO (given that the oil your using meets OEM specs). They have to abide by the law and warranty your machine. They've delt with it plenty in the past I'm certain...

Just because your new truck might have Mobile 1 in it from the factory, and that's what the manufacturer recommends, doesn't mean they can void your warranty for switching over to Pennsoil. That would be absurd right?

I am not doubting you here...but if there is even a chance of it being a headache/fight with the manufacturer during the short season we get to enjoy these sleds...then why chance it???

That's all I am saying!

Plus, I love wasting money for "special" oil so I can drive my $12k sled around:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-blu

Unless they could prove w/o a doubt the oil caused the issue they would have to fix it. I run arctic blue semi synthetic, it is the HIGHEST rated oil( by oil standards, like jaso) on the market. You can buy it for under 20$ a gallon, cat syn will set you back 35$ at lowest, skidoo Semi syn is around 35, and Polaris ves gold is around 43$ a gallon(to my knowledge, havent been to any kind of dealer in a while), and the arctic blue cost about half as much. Snowmobiling is expensive, if you can cut a cost and not lose anything why not?
