Single stage snowblower recommendation

I'm looking at getting one of the following three. Leaning towards the husq because I'm fairly tall and would be easy to adjust the chute. Any strong opinions to lean towards a different model ? And anyone have experiences with the Husq?

I agree, and only really dry powder snow at that. I live at sea level and on the coast in Alaska and you never see those snow blowers here, cause they just don't work / get the job done. But our average snowfall is 35' a year.

Kind of like bringing a squirt gun to a gunfight, you are guaranteed to be disappointed.

Granted for the money they may get you by depending on your snow fall, but here we use either the Honda or Yamaha Two stage models. Last time I looked they were priced more in the range of $2000-$3500, though.

Each has its Pros and Cons.
Single stage seems to be faster from what I've seen. Granted they may not go thru as much snow as the two stage, but for most people the single stage will work just fine. I was thinking about upgrading my older single stage to either a Honda HS720 or a Toro 721R single stage, but priority doesn't allow for that currently.
Good luck with your purchase.

I have both. I use the single stage about 99% of the time. I keep the two stage for deeper snow amounts but that seldom happens anymore.

Blower

If you buy a single stage and there talking snow during the night hope you dont wake to 2ft in the driveway.:face-icon-small-hap

I have a two stage and have only used it once in the last 4-years. I have shoveled instead, because it was faster then getting it out. I thought about this same thing this year. I was going to buy a single stage and have both, but now I wondering if just a single stage would do the trick. Have not got in a big hurry, because we have not gotten any snow yet.

I would actually hope that would happen! Yet I don't think it has ever snowed over a foot where I'm at. Rare to even have 8" at a time.

IMO; a single stage would do the trick.

I went with the toro for ease of using the chute since I'm tall; and for local service.

Now the extended forecast is showing no snow. ha
