Ok I have a 09' Nytro MTX 153. I have read that the 10's have a single ply Maverick track. Does anybody know when Yami changed over to single ply tracks? Wondering if my stock 09' maverick track is a single ply.
Thanks in advance :face-icon-small-coo

10's-11's has the single ply Maverick with a harder durometer. The 08's and 09's came with the original style Maverick track. They BOTH are junk in my opinion but the single ply/harder duro Maverick is a lot better than the former Maverick based off reviews I've read of people that have run both.

I agree that the Maverick is not the best track. I am looking at a Challenger but didn't want to go to a multi ply track if I already had a single ply. I need to ride trails some when my wife wants to ride so don't want to go to the new Challenger Extreme (2.5").

If you don't want the challenger extreme and you want a single ply track then you probably want a powder claw. Your 09 maverick is NOT a single ply. Hope this helps.

The new Camo Extreme 2.5" is a single ply. I know a guy who's been running one this year on an Apex turbo and its holding up perfect so far. Seems to work really well.
That 09 track is a total POS I wouldn't even use it on my trailer door, you will not beleive the performance difference when you get rid of that track.

I have a line on a new challenger 2.25" It is a multi ply but thats fine. I just don't want to go to the 2.5'" since I will have to ride it when the wife wants to trail in MN. I wonder how the Power Claw would do on the trail?

I ride with some Cat guys that run power claws, they work pretty good on the trails. She may not like following you though, they throw a LOT of ice chunks on the trail and for a long ways back!
