simmons ski with twin axis

Any one with a simmons and a twin axis run there simmons with the simmons mount before making the twin axis mount work?

I finally got off my arse and made the twin axis mount work on my simmons ski, I really like the simmons in the fluff but it is just to sketchy on the hard packed. Hopefully it warms up a little bit so I can go try it out on monday. Its -35 right know and to friggin cold to ride ( I'm not into frostbite ). I was just wonder what others experience has been.

i ordered a gen 2 a couple days ago, im gonna run mine around for a few days with the simmons mount and see how it goes. i'll let you know the outcome. what needed to be done to get the twin axis to work?

there are 4 bolts that go through the ski that hold the stock mount on. I just drilled new holes for those bolts in the ski and in the base plate for the twin axis mount. That way I did not damage the twin axis and can mount it back on the stock ski or I can put the stock simmons mount back on the simmons ski if desired.

Be careful on any ice with the simmons, last year I washed out on a icy lake and got piledrived to ground, Like i said its really sketchy on the hard stuff.

I have only rode mine with pivot adapter seems ok on trail
