Only threads that mention this all seem to be from late 2016.
Now - with a handfull of years since then - what's folks got to say about this now?

One of my concerns with the stock ski's is that the keel is so deep.
Great in the snow, but I have gotten caught on previously plowed logging road already, and not enough snow on top, and I'm plinking stones.
Then when at the apex of the hill, where it's all blown off, anything keeping you up off the hidden rocks would be good.

???

Just switching to wear bars from the stock carbides makes a big difference in terms of "grabbiness" when you're moving over dirt, rocks and pavement. I use the Woodys ones. Also keeps your skis from tearing up your ramp when loading. You do have to replace them more often though. I go through a couple sets per season, but they're pretty cheap. Centering skis with Durapros is a worthwhile and cheap upgrade as well.

x4 on the SLP mohawks. Seems the grippers are a cheaper version, but the mohawks have held up to the stuff I put them through. Carbides are starting to wear after 1.5 seasons in but still there.

I tried gripper skis last year with durapro and I felt they are a step up, but not as good as the Mohawks with salazzking.

One thing with the Mohawks is that they are pretty soft. I have already bent two skies this year
Grippers are pretty flimsy too, both of mine are curved/bent. Fiancee's sled has the Slydog Attacks and they're a lot better than stock for the Gen 4, but I don't have a ton of time on them.

What model of Salazzking? My slp saddles are flat with no cutouts.
