Silber (or similar) air box on an NA d7/d8?

Could the snow ingestion issue be so simple to fix? Some aluminum tubing/ silicone hoses/clamps/a bracket or two and the right filter, and it seems these things should be pretty well sealed up.

Thoughts?

i thought that removing the velocity stacks in the stock air box made a negative impact on performance... so adding a box thats not designed at all for n/a i would have my doubts. but wth if somebody wants to try it i got my old stock box before i installed intercooler just need to cap bov flange

when i bought my 08 d7 it would foul plugs left and right, just for gits and shiggles i took everything out, and it ran perfect no more fouling plugs.

more air= cleaner burn just another way for companys to make you buy ther products. Just like slp told me my sled would run good because i didnt have porting to go along with my twins as soon as i told him ive been running them for a year and they work awsome the guy on the phone got rude with me. I guess iam not afraid to go outside the box and try things

I'd like to see something like the Silber box with more volume and integrated stacks. I'm sure the length and diameter of the stacks would be a pain to dial in though. Oh yeah, in carbon too please...
