i wanna pick up some side panel vents for my sled
i really like the mod rods ones, but dont want or need the 5 pieces it comes with
was also checking out the mo-flo ones, but $150 (plus shipping) for side panel vents seems a bit steep, no??
when mod rods sells a 5 piece kit for $150 (plus $6 to ship)

if anyone wants the other vents, ill pay for shipping of the vents to me and shipping to you as well....well just figure out a price for the rest of the vents

or maybe you can point me in the direction of some other plastic framed panel vents similar to these........for a decent price

any help is appreciated :becky:

I know your post says plastic framed vents, the following are stainless, xtremevents.com, he has kits or will make anything you want, they are stainless wrapped with mesh, no borders, kinda cool for a good price and bulletproof. holzracingproducts.com also makes a stainless very strong set, hope this helps

thanks for the reply
those xtreme vents seem ok...just not sure about the stainless frame
i have done some reading about guys having issues bending them and popping rivets out

i guess the plastic bends w the door a bit when it flexes

i also kinda like the look of the border on the mod rods ones and the mo flos too

I don't know of any vents that will work in deep powder because they are covered up, and that is when you need them the most...?

I'd just run it stock and enjoy (saves money too) :)

2 each Mo Flow side vents for 150.00??????

I have the large Mo Flow side vents (1 for each side) and did not spend that much. If I remember right, the pair ran about 70.00 shipped to the house.

Mike with Mo Flow is "SnowBound" here on Snowest. Here's his contact info if you need it.

And for what it's worth, I think some venting is better than no venting. The subject has been discussed in depth and there's a ton of information here on the topic.

just contact Mod Rods and buy the vents you want...I bet they'll sell you only the vents you're after. Worth a shot. I have the same vents and so far so good.

let me know what you think

I like your meshed hood screens but venting the front bellypan? REALLY? That just makes me laugh! Are you venting the pipe where it needs to retain heat or what???

Have FUN!

G MAN
Yes i agree a little overkill when it comes to venting the front bellypan...... i think this is totally unecessary and one way to make a quick buck. I see too many riders getting caught up into the need for mass venting of thier sleds

give mike taylor a pm. His vents are just like the mod rods one but he will sell ya what ever ones you want. I decided on about 4 different areas I wanted vents and he sold me the vents to fit those areas. very good prices as well.
