Side Panel Problems!

My buddy had the same problem. buy some hood tie down straps from slp or wherever and mount them to the fender and corner of the hood. holds everything nice and tight!

OPen the hood and look at the loop frame very close....it may be tweeked. I had an extremely minor "bump" on my side panel..barely felt it. My vent on the side panel was ripped and when I looked at it the side panel would not go in all the way...after closer inspection my loop(frame piece that the steering mounts to) had a nice dent in it and must have folded back a bit. Not to mention the broken area on the side panel where it screws in.

whil on this area...look at the two tabs that like to crack the plastic roght about where your knees hit......the parts fische shows a rubber cover over these...I have looked at about 10 different IQ's from 08 and NONE had the rubber covers. you hit it hard enough and you will wish they were. I dont have a clue what they are there for. Mine will get ground off after the loop is repalced.

i use a DZUS Fastner on my side panels..just one, and they have been amazing...even after a wreck the sde panel busted all the tabs off and the fastner was all that kept it..and rode all day like that...

i have a pic somewhere if your interested i will post it. (of the location of the fastner)
