if anyone sees any avalanche activity in these areas(owlshead, queest, blue lake, eagles pass, hunters range, boulder, mccrae, turtle, frisby ridge, etc.) please report in this thread.

As well as checking the Canadian Avalanche Center for conditions

...riders should be digging pits before climbing any slopes as this season is taking a nasty turn for stability...RIDE SAFE!!!!

always check the avy report, have taken the courses, and so has all my crew. these areas are my home grounds. i have ridden here 7 years every week. I'm not looking for avy advice, just want to know what has come down in my backyard. please don't turn this thread into an OT bullsh!t war zone!!

just saying that there are 14 other posts where everyone is debating what to do, I just want this post to be used for avy reports in my home turf, not what to do before riding. sorry if I came across as OTish. as I said, just for reports please. there are plenty of other posts to argue in.

again sorry if I sounded like I had "OT syndrome"

Thats cool, Im from edmonton but my father in law has a place on Mara, so we`re there 20 times a year...this thread will be helpful...I think until the snow pack gets better Hunters is the way to go, no significant avy danger till you get past the Gordon Sydney....PLAY SAFE!!!

slide on owlshead, backside of superbowl, on the lookout hill. steep and deep, broke near the top about 6' to 7', and 500' wide. claimed a brother!
