I just moved to a new house and the double + garage is bare studs and unfinished. Right now it's full of crap but i am going to be emptying it out this weekend and organizing everything to at least make it workable for the winter...I pick up my 2013 800LE tomorrow! And then hope fully I will finish ii (electrical, insulate, sheetrock, lighting, storage etc) next summer.

At my last place I had built a 3car garage that I had decked out with cabinets, shelves etc, it was pretty sweet for my first go at it. but his time I'm gonna be on a budget, at least at first. Looking to see all ideas of ingenuity for storage of tools, bottles, cans, junk etc, maximizing space etc.

I know there has to be some sweet sheds out there and some who have made the most of little, lets see em all!

BEst bang for the buck for storage shelving that doesn't cut into the useable space in the garage is to make 2' wide (or wider, but 2' is plenty and half sheet of plywood) wood shelves around the perimeter and ang them from the ceiling about 2' down, depending on ceiling ht and what you want to stor on them.
No pics, but build panels just like you'd build a pony wall for a house, but lighter. 1x4 plates and 2x4 studs at 2' OC. Sheet with 3/8 or 1/2" max OSB. Nail to studs on the wall and hang from ceiling joists/trusses with eye hooks and chain.
Cheap to build, can go around an entire 2 car garage for about $100 in materials. Strong enough to hold enything you can hoist up onto them if built right and they take up no useable garage space.

I love the use of file cabinets for shop use. Get the good ones for free or dirt cheap from companies that are going under..

They work great at protecting your tools / equipment, can hold a lot of gear, and are strong enough that you can store stuff on top of them.

Maybe I will take some pictures of my garage tonight and show you guys. I also have a dresser in there that stores my misc. crap. I have a drawer for electrical, fastners, tape / glues , and other stuff.
