Shovel question on a Rev

I finally got a Rev Summit (YEAH) and I have seen I am wondering how you guys get your blade of your shovel mounted about the pipe under the hood? Thanks.

there is a alluminum clip up on the cross brace where the handle end goes and the corners of the shovel fits down on the hinges

then the handle fits on the left witht the probes ..just two plastic friction type clips

sooo what do you call the guy who has a set on the sled and set in his pack .....
wise ..cuz when you are stuck and yer buddy comes over to help ...you pop the hood and go here ....;)

On my 06 800 Rev I pulled out the spare belt and slid my whole S.O.S. shovel in its place(through the hood), head up by pipe handle by can, and mounted a belt clip for the spare belt to the ecm (on 06 only)using one of the ecm bolts. Easy to get the shovel out and its already together.

I carry enough stuff in back pack the less I have on me the better. Plus if I am rolling around on the snow I really don't want that shovel and blade attached to my back. I will try what you did summitrmk sounds like it may be a good fit. Thanks

you don't have the right pack then. i have a dakine pack that has shovel straps on the outside and i have landed on my back many times and have never noticed the shovel hitting me or getting in the way. and if you sled is stuck say nose down in a drift or creek, you will need a shovel to get your shovel out.

i put the shovel next to the chaincase and the handle laying on the pipe along the ecm, and i have had to dig toget my shovel and it sucks, what i really hate is when im stuck tight against a tree and cant get my shovel. so i am looking for a better setup myself....not a pack, i hate the way they feel , just cant make them comfy
