Can someone show me a picture of how they strap their shovel into their heli-pro pack. I have the 1200 cubic inch pack, believe it is called a heil-pro. I think I have it figured out, but would feel better if I saw how someone else is doing it.

Thanks,

kirk

I don't know if there the same, but on my Dakine ProII pack, the shovel and probe fit internally in the front pocket. Also they have a great website, might find a picture on there.

^^ same here - my HeliPro is probably 5 years old - maybe 6.

pocket furthest from your back, room for shovel and handle - closes with a plastic quick clip. I'll take some pics if you still need it.

I haven't figured out a good way. The handle stores nicely on the side but the shovel head is a different story. I lost one shovel head on the Silent Pass trail last year. There is a little strap peice that pulls out of the bottom corner of the pack then you can use the strap on the farthest out pouch. I dont chance it anymore I just throw it inside my pack now.

I've got a Heli-pro pack, and this is the only way I have figured how to do it. This way, I have all my emergency gear on me, and I know I won't have to worry about having something falling out. I have 2 survival kits (an old one from last year, and a new one I got this year), a first aid kit, and a large lighter, then I stack the shovel head on top.

that strap you can pull out is to put a pair of skis thru

The best way is to put the blade end down in the outside pocket as pictured above. I keep all of my survival gear in that pocket as well. That way I only need to open that section for emergencys.

I have the exact same pack....I do mine a little different. For me I put it on the outside of my pack closest to my back where the snowboard goes. It fits PERFECT There!!!!

Thanks guys, I didn't think there was any way in hello that it would fit in that pocket, but just got done putting it in there and worked good.

Thanks
