Well $150 worth of race fuel, sneak it home at last light, (pics to follow) 40 +/- miles and the guage isn't bouncing anymore (this thing really is a pig on fuel) and I shoulda brought the hood. 8"+ fresh snow, coming over the bumper, going into the clutches and down the airbox. Hit ever boundary on the hill and lifted a ski right over the edge. What a day. It's still winter in my world, what did you do today?

Currently driving to your world!
JK, that's awesome. I'll be back out sledding in 1.5 weeks. Winter is definitely not over in BC!

lol...now some wise words i read some where...

You decided to take the walk to the darkside of mod custom built motors...this is a walk you take alone. Indy Dan

:face-icon-small-hap Yea what can I say, might have been 50 miles. I got some good shots of the "super moon" just rising with the sled in the foreground, also some with the lights of town down in the valley over the front of the sled. I took them with my ipod so they aren't the best but I need my kid or wife to put them up here. The moon was a deep red color, nice pics IMHO.

nice area Smithers...my son is there...works for C.N. rail...he loves sledding..when he gets his new sled (when he pays off his truck) i will make sure he hooks up with the snowmobile assc. and maybe get shown the ropes and trails locally...then when i visit i have a guide..lol.he loves boondocking and powder...a bit leary of the slopes/avalances...but still he forays into them to get to the powder...i also grew up with John Brown who use to or still owns the Polaris dealership in Smithers..

John just sold his dealership "trails north" last week I believe. Anytime I can help out with your boy send him my way, there are lots of people around here that would be happy to show him around.

Here's a few pics. The IQR is the wifes new to her toy, it has a PAR 1200 W/C triple in it.

Thank you, we just picked it up in southern Alberta 2 weeks ago. I think she'll have fun with it, my wife has never riden like a girl.

You and Jay know John, small world. I've known him and the whole Brown family since diaper time. My mom worked for John's dad at there sawmill in Watson Lake about 45 years ago. Didn't know he sold the dealership, good for him he put in a lot of years with Polaris, the best Polaris guy I've ever known.
Magic, you say you grew up with Bucks :face-icon-small-hap (apparently he doesn't go by that handle anymore), was that in Whitehorse?

He still gets called bucks sometimes, at least by toots.

I didn't know John or Gerri til they moved to Smithers and opened Trails North. This has always been a Polaris valley so John has done well. Also got to say he is a damn good mechanic and has been a very good dealer, that sure didn't hurt. Both of them are pretty heavy into their horses these days, I don't know their future plans but I would guess they are going to be "retiring" sortof, kinda. I don't doubt the future will involve their horses somehow.

sent ya a pm frock...but yea all the kids had b nick names i think..Babe Richardson is famous in her own right and Johns dad is quite the legend as well..he also had a colorful brother in dease lake for a while..lol..

You're right on the names magic, Buckles, Britches, Bambi, Bows, Bobby, Brennell, that's all I can remember right now :face-icon-small-hap
