Should we have some moderators?

Tons of other forums out there have unpaid moderators from thier usergroup to kick spam, move posts to the right category (like all the FS threads in the main forum), and basically keep the jerks from ruining this for the rest of us.

I vote that SnoWest elect 4-5 level headed active people to be Moderators.

What do you think?

I personally think there should be seperate moderators for each section (1 for poo, 1 for AC, 1 for doo, etc) that way you won't get any "goderator" people out there since they have to face the music in other sections.

This is a very good idea.. works very well on other forums.. however picking the right moderators can really make or break a forum.. still need to have fun.. just keep out the junk.. and move threads to proper location

Like taxes, less is more with Moderators. Certainly I would not want censorship, but a little common sense rule enforcing.

A great example is the idiot SPAMMER with the post in the general section right now. With a few moderators that would be gone pretty fast instead of generate all the views it is getting now to sell thier porn site. This kind of crap really takes away from everyone.

I think it should. Some web forums do. It would allow posts to be moved into the proper location, deleted if it was out of line and so on. Well maybe the deleted thing isn't good but moving posts to the proper place is what's needed the most.

I just received a PM inquiring if I would be interested in Moderating Fouled Plug. I'm really torn here guys; it would be a great opportunity to push my agenda, whatever it is for the day, and squash any resistance to my way of thinking. And yet, I don't want to offend anyone, hurt their feelings or make them feel insignificant.
