I'm going to snowcheck this coming week and was trying to decide if I should get the $600 in accessories or take the 4yr warranty. I am only planning on keeping the sled for 2 sledding seasons. What do you think will I get more when it comes time to sell it if I have 2 additional years of warranty? Can you transfer the warranty? If not I'm getting an extra belt and 500 dollars in oil. Thanks for your opinions.

i would take the warranty for sure!!!
My last three sleds I've only kept for 2 years. But I can tell you that when I sell a sled with a warranty, the person buying feels so much better. It really makes a difference in selling used iron. It's a great peace of mind as well. The only claim I had on my D8 was two temp sensors. They were $178 if you bought them from the dealer. Even though I had to pay $50 deductible, it was still worth having. They also covered a broken steering post (which they also installed).
4 year. Can't go wrong.

I just read the warranty and to me it seams like they don't have to cover anything if they don't want to! They have it worded so that they are covered from every end and can leave you hanging if they want to... So to me it seems like a big gimmick! Has everyone had good luck when trying to get something covered under warranty? Thanks
I went with the 4 year warranty. no brainier for me. Will you post what ever you read to show us what your talking about.. But as far as polaris only covering what they want to cover i have to disagree with (although I have never taken out a warranty claim) It all kind of falls back on the dealer and what they end up telling Polaris reps. If you have a good dealer they will have your back and will get it sorted out if you do not your left to fight for your self.
I had everything covered on my last polaris snowcheck warranty no questions asked and no money out of my pocket. It was a lot of stuff too.

Take a look at my polaris warranty post on the first page. Napamatt posted a link to mountainhorse's link, pull up the 2011 owners manual and read page i think 110 to like 115. I'm not saying they won't cover everything but I'm a little nervous that if it comes time to actually use the warranty that some 16 year high school Polaris mechanic might try to turn you down. The wording to me is completely in favor of Polaris... I never had to do a claim so I'm only speculating. Everything seems to be a wear item and most everything on a sled is!! JMO Thanks

I called them to and your price must not have the 5% sales tax and the $89 fees they charge. My price was for a Assault and after everything it came to $10700 out the door...
Skippy...was this a price from a MN dealer or from Ken's?
What is your best price from a MN dealer? I assume you are looking at an Assault RMK vs Assault 144?
Moon Motors and Hitchin Post have had the best prices I've seen so far, and they were at 10659 for the Assault RMK + TTL (2yr + $600 or 4yr).
Where have you looked in MN and what's the best price you've been given.

Price was from Ken's Polaris and was for a Assault RMK with 4 year warranty. I also got a price from Digger's Polaris in Victoria and it was cheaper then what you got quoted. I'm not 100% sure exactly what the numbers were but I think it was $10700 with the 4 year plus TTL and maybe set up... Give them a call tomorrow and ask for Joe! To me it seems like every place in Minnesota is a close to a $1000 higher than Ken's for some reason. I'm not sure how he can sell them for so cheap! We snowchecked three of them for approx. $3000 savings. It sucks not being able to use the local dealer but for the price savings I couldn't pass it up! I will also have to pay the difference of the sales tax from 5% to 6.8% when I register it here in Minnesota so that adds another $100 or so
