Should I buy 1000 gallons of fuel today????????

Serious..for all you fuel market watchers should I call in the order Diesel or keep waiting.

I was going to order it Monday and by the time I called it in it went down a dime. So Tuesday I waited till end of day and it dropped another 4 cents... Any insight would be helpful. (crystal ball)

dont wait to long, but its still gonna be cheaper than say mid novemvber when heating time comes around.

it might drop a little more, but nothing crazy, then again, i dont really know anything.

Are you buying gasoline or diesel? It looks like prices are going to continue dropping for a while but if you are buying diesel or heating fuel, historically those prices tend to rise this time of year due to increased demand. I would hold off as long as prices continue to drop. Buy after the first 2 consecutive price increases. IF you are a high volume purchaser your bulk plant operator might drop you a hint when prices look like they are going to increase. I used to do that to some of my larger customers.

Some are saying it will bottom around 50 bucks a barrel, still not low enough but tons better.

January is historically the best time to buy fuel. But of course that will depend on the market for that year....

I agree with MH, except for the timeline.
If you figure oil per barrel at $70, it should be priced around $2.10 at the pump. If it drops to $50, we may see the first time in years with it under 2 bucks.

You heard it here first folks.

I run though about 500-750 gallons a month, and I am holding out. My tank has been empty since it hit 3 dollars on its way up.

$ 3.27 a gallon at Nelson Petroleum in Arlington, WA for diesel. Keep your fingers crossed it keeps dropping.

diesel at a Cle Elum station was $3.55 sunday and now its $3.35, oil droped yesterday and again today to 68 buckS, gas is around 3.35 here now, last time oil was 68 bucks gas was 2.25!!!! go figure,,
