Shop/hang out ideas.....

Looking for ideas..... i'm building a 3000 sq/ft garage on my house and I have this "shop/cave" in the corner that I am looking for ideas on......

This room will be roughly 20x 24 with a 14 foot ceiling. Uses will be the occasional tweak to the dirt bike or sled but mostly need a hang out spot with the flat screen on the wall, Xbox...... beer fridge built in undercounter, bar area......

You get the point........ The rest of the garage will be set up to hold trailers, welding bench, serious wrenching areas, storage etc.....

Any ideas would be great! Air, lights, sound, exhaust fans for the cigars......Any ideas would be sweet! Bring it.....

go projector and dump the flat screen. takes less space and you can get one for a good deal and there not half bad and it keeps your dumbazz friends from breaking it.

What about a pole? Have it extend either out of the floor, or drop down from the ceiling so can be easily hidden.

kegerator is BAD cuase then you're buying all the beer all the time for your cheap friends! (beer on tap is cool but the price tag isn't!)

LOVE the KTM urinal idea!!!

man... I'm trying to think of the cool things we'd do when hanging out in buddies (or my) shop and it's always just drink and hang out... have the TV for when things really die down but you don't need much really! if it's not a shop/workspace you're looking to build...

cards?? maybe you're into poker or something, a cool card table or pool or something...

jeesh, i'm suprised at how hared this is to come up with something COOL to do in a shop besides wrench on chit... if you asked about SHOP ideas ohhh man I'd be FULL of em.. but HANG out in the shop... um, don't ya just need a beer fridge for that?

we have a full kitchen complete with dishwasher in with our office. internet, tv also, but usually the best stuff is the buds there with you.

get a couple of roof mount 1000 cfm (at least) ventilation fans and run the ducting to ceiling grates, for exhaust fume removal without having to open all the doors....put the air compressor outside for less noise and easier to drain the water out of the tank...overhead hoist...overhead air hose reel...you can never have enough outlets or lights...

as for the man cave...fordy and gravy will want a bean bag chair so they can cuddle...internet capabilities so you can post pics when they fall asleep in each others arms...microwave and/or range...industrial toilet in the bathroom...large utility sink for washing up...wire for sound system/speakers...how will it be heated?...

it seams like the cool thing to do if you have too much money is a big flat screen in the middle and to just a little bit smaller ones on each side to watch multiple sports games at one time

oversized lever hockey table and I'm another vote for the wood stove with glass doors or the insert screen that can be used with the doors open.

to avoid the smell of stale beer my vote would be for the fridge rather than the keg machine plus you have the freezer to keep ice on hand. Stuff fridge with Rolling Rock & MGD....bottles only of course.

I would also go with a major comfy couch for crashin' in front of the fire after kicking the chit out of your buddy in lever hockey.

Great sound system to blast some tunes.

Phone jack with dedicated line.

Hidden door for entry and combination lock for the door.

One last idea is a "top shelf" for great booze for guys that prefer glass of premium whiskey, tequila, or just a nice stiff rum & coke.

I will probably use a wall mount heat pump for heating and cooling of this room. Not sure yet.
