Shop dolly for 2013 Pro?

I was going to make a shop dolly for my 13 Pro but I started looking around on the bottom of the sled where you usually lift a sled and it doesn't look like there is a good place to pick it up from. Does anyone use a shop dolly for their sled, and where do you lift if from. Picture of what I'm talking about below.

I'm looking to build my own, not buy one. I can make one with about $50 in materials I just need to know where is a safe place underneath the sled to pick it up. It appears that most of the dollies pick the sled up right where the QD is, and I think that would be a bad idea unless you have a guard.

If I were to build one I would make it a three point pick for the PRO's and avoid the QD area. The three points would consist of bottom middle of bulkhead (under the engine), and catch the extruded running boards right about the front arm mount for the rear suspension. If you make it similar to the one you posted the pick of you likely could catch the sled just in front of the drivers but on the bulkhead not the plastic fenders. Which makes it more of a challenge because it needs to be wide enough to get past the track but able to narrow up enough to get the bulkhead. In order to do that you need the leg extensions to telescope in or just run a pipe between the two once in position? The third for that style is the bumper strap.

Just thinking out load, an overhead monorail seems more suitable for garage use, for me.

Yeah.

I have a real nice dollie, but it picks up my sba on the plastic sides of the belly pan, also my sled shop lift does the same thing. and its starting to pull the belly plastic loose from the thin aluminum flange that its riveted to along the bulkhead.
Sooo with my lift I lay a piece of 1x4 across the front lift arms , after I slide it under the sled. When I crank the lift up, the wood picks up the sled under the bulkhead instead of the plastic belly pan.

As for a dollie, I think longer front arms that reach further into the middle of the sled and hit the bulk head will help. But they won't be very sturdy by the time they are slid in to reach the bulkhead!

I bought this one from Ricks performance..it reaches as far in as you want with still good strength reaching the buckhead as the tube thickness is decent (a person could always fill the tube with a solid cold rolled piece of steel if needed)..nice soft cushions for pads as well..

they suggested this one as their strongest and made by a major ATV snow plow manufacturer..

They have a larger wheel set option that you can slide into the end frames and use on gravel and grass.

That's perfect. Thanks for the link.

We picked one up to move sleds around the showroom. It has replaced our need for using the set of 3 dolly wheels. The 4 strokers are now a piece of cake to move around. Wish we would have picked one up years ago!

Cooksend great suggestion, Thanks
I just may pick one of those up when I go back to visit Wisconsin.

I use the same lift we've used for years, just slide the pads inboard a few inches to catch something solid....I know, it's tough to find something solid on a Pro. :face-icon-small-ton
