Shockwave modification

Who on the Wasatch Front can do the Shockwave helix modification to make it work properly on the Apex seconday?

It is a modification done to the Yamaha secondary that allows the clutch to fully open while using the shockwave helix.

I guess it takes about five minutes to do but really allows the clutch to work properly.

Val Simmons in providence. I believe he charges $60.00 to do it.

$60 for 5 min work. Wish I could get paid like than. I wouldn't definitely goto val if you are up north. Both the guys I mentioned are way south

It takes about an hour. He machines both the helix and the clutch.

Got it done this morning and it was $80 dollars.

What does the mod do for the clutch?

Allows it to fully open without binding on the spring or against itself.

They did machine work to the secondary as well as to the shockwave.

Simply put, the Shockwave binds on the sheve of the secondary several places not allowing it to shift out fully. Val machines these areas allowing the secondary to shift out all the way.
