Shocks

It moves the heavy side of the shock to the chassis, therefor removing a pound or two from the side of the suspension that is doing all of the work. In other words, the suspension is "carrying" a little less weight, making it perform better.

On a related note, I'm trying to stiffen the front suspension shocks. I have no clue what the owners manual refers to as "make sure that both springs are still preloaded when front of vehicle is off the ground".

It's funny, some '09s came with the front shocks one way, and some the other. My friend just picked up a new one and it came with one shock each way! How that made it through the pdi I have no idea!

The shocks are put on at the dealer.

This also prevents ice buildup on the shaft from damaging seals.
