Shocks on 600 rmk

So im in the market for a new sled this year. im ordering a 2013 for sure. few questions for you guys. im looking at either a 800 assault switchback or the 600 RMK. im really leaning towards the 600 RMK. however to keep the 144 track they only offer the ryde fx shocks. how are these shocks? i dont do a ton of jumping, but if theres a drift ill deff hit it. how are these shocks and will they hold up well? i really like the walkers but they dont offer them for the sled at snowcheck. any input on these shocks and the 600 rmk would be great!

Thanks
Jon

I went with the RMK this year and rode it a couple times before swapping to EXIT shocks... These are way way better. Triple rate springs and reservoirs give it a soft feel on the trail and able to handle the big hits. All said and done I am into it about the same as I would have been for the PRO. I like the bars on the RMK better and the cooling is better. Just my opinion tho. For an average rider I think the stock RYDEfx shocks are probably fine. I just noticed them bottoming on a couple big hits early in the season and had the opportunity to get the EXITS.

Rented a 12' 600 rmk with 100 miles. I def. bottomed out more than I imagined and those were just some small moguls on a logging trail(2-3 foot). I have no idea what kind of settings it was at though, you may be able to stiffen it alittle with some adjustments. Some aftermarket shocks would be dope. It did however handle overall much better than the 11' M8snopro i rode back down off the mountain for about 2-3 miles on the trail. HUGE difference between the two, Polaris was MUCH better.

Normal setup on them is pretty soft. Crank the spring pressure up helps a lot. I am on a standard rmk, and now at 250 miles on it i am already looking for better shocks. It doesnt take much of a bottom out to bend an a-arm.
