Shock Spring help for Heavy Guys? Any Help?

OK Guys... I'm from Maine and the Weather has been killing us here badly so far. 2016 better have a better Cold Weather pattern for my madness!!:puke:

I'm close to 300 dressed. I've got the SKS 155" with the stock Evans Shocks right now. I've never owned a Long Track sled so my set up will have to be fine tuned later if we ever get enough snow? Any Big Guys actually get any time in on this new chassis have a little info for me? From the most basic advice to what measurements on Stock Spring settings -to- opinions on if any of the Stock Springs should have stiffer action ratings on them best for my weight? Given that our riding season is off to such a late start I just want my set up to be halfway decent to start. Thanks in advance. :)

I have been sending my customers that fits your needs over to Kevin @ Kmod for years.

He can help you with some very good aftermarket springs set-up and make suggestions for the way you ride.

If I decide I really like this sled this year I'll get crazy and re-do the suspension with some aftermarket suspension help from KMOD or another company. Last year I used HyGear suspension to help out my 2015 Pro-S trail sled and it handles much better than stock now. "Money Well Spent"

For my SKS I think I'll try to work with the Stock suspension this year. Maybe swap a Spring out if needed? I really probably would have ended up with an Assault 144" w/ 2" track if they had one this year with the new H.O. in an Axys chassis but they didn't so I bought the SKS. If I end up loving this sled I'll do the suspension right up. At least if I haven't dumped a Ton of money into the suspension on this one. I can hopefully look at what POO comes up with next year for an Assault or Something? I hope the SKS ends up being something I can't live without BUT who knows? This is Maine not the Western Rockies.

I'm roughly the same size as u I have 16 pro rmk I went with aftermarket springs from zbroz 250 for rear shock 160 for front track shock major difference in stiffness springs are little shorter that factory at uncompressed length so kind of a guessing game on how stiff to set initially but by far better than stock

6'7" 295 here, polaris fat boy spring on the rear set for 300 pounds, so far works really well with no issues

Thanks for your Reply. Curious? What are the rates on the stock springs you replaced. Also, did you get any time to ride the stock set up before making the move to the Zbroz set up? Thx.

You are a Big Boy my friend! Thanks for your reply. Did you get any time to work with the Stock Set up or just go for the POO Fat Boy Spring right away? Does POO actually call it the Fat Boy Spring or does it have a Rate for poundage on it?
