shock options for apex

i have a 2006 apex mountain stock except for a bar riser and an ohlins shock at the rear of the skid. i am considering a new front skid shock and new front shocks. does fox make a float for the front skid shock or are there better options? also considering floats for the front shocks or are there better options here also?

I have an 40th Apex MTX that came with floats up front and Ohlin @ the rear of the skid, it had the same shock in front of the skid as your's tho, and it is a peace of sh**.
The Ohlin shock got stiffer shims but it didn't help, but when Yamaha put an HPG alu shock in the 09 models i got one of those, and what a diffrence it made, now the skid works as you would expect it should have from the beginning.
I added a FBP air canister to the Floats to get more air volume, cause i share manys opinion that the Floats are stiff in the initial stroke, it got better but to me there's many better shocks out there, maybe most bang for the buck is GYT-R.

zbroz make front shocks for the apex now. definitely better than floats, but they cost more too.
