shipping a snowmobile

I would like to know If any one has ship a snowmobile. And had good luck.Would like to know who was used and etc. I live in michgan.

I have used uship.com four times now with the average price being about $350. You just put your ad on their website and people will quote you prices and you can either accept of decline or sometimes barter a little with them. Don't get discouraged they will send you three or four right away for like $800 then the normal prices will start popping in.. Later

Crate it up and take it to a freight trucking company like fedex freight or ccx. You know the single axle trucks you always see pulling doubles.

Use USHIP.com
I am a member and have also shipped my sled to new mexico using another local guy, you can also request an enclosed trailer or not if you want. i used a enclosed trailer so it did not get road rash, not knowing how long it will be on the trailer during the trip.
most guys will barter on price just to help fill a load, stand your ground on the price you want to spend.

Make sure you get the driver/transporters MMC # and insurance info. there are a lot of fly by night guy on USHIP. some can be good but just beware so your item is insured just in case.

thanks mike
