Shipping a sled from UK to Canada?

Anyone know what it would cost to ship a sled from the UK to Canada? Someone had one for sale in the auto trader and say he moved to the UK and brought the sled with him. I think it may be a scam. here is the letter he sent to me. He wants 3000 CND. , for a 2007 Arctic Cat F8.. Sounds to low to me considering he is paying the shipping. Any ideas would be cool.. thanks.. Heres letter he sent me:::::::::

I had to move with my family in United Kingdom where I got a new job transfer. I brought the sled here with me but now I want to buy a suitable house so I've decided to sell it.

The transaction will be done through Ebay for our own protection, no money first to me. I am registered with their secure trader department and they will handle the trade.
Your funds will be 100% insured until you will receive and inspect the sled, and I will be sure that I will receive the payment.

Ya i seen that on there last year he said he used to live in Calgary or something beware of that one its a scam forsure, shipping alone would be around $2000.00 probably.

i called out a couple of sellers this year doing the same thing on seadoos, its funny you can never see the merchandise and you always have to pay whoever it is in the uk. what a joke

Then tell him that all you have is a $100,000.00 check your grandpa left you, and you'll send it to him, and he can cash it and take the sled cost and shipping cost out, and send you the remainder.

As soon as you see the Ebay buyer protection BS for payment....it's a scam! I too had the same experience Lightning had looking for a Seadoo this last summer, supposedly from Montreal but after doing a little investigating found it most likely originated in Nigeria.

Most definetly a SCAM as others have already told you. I love dickin' with these idiots about wanting to come look at the sled, offering them more money in cash if we don't go through e-bay, etc. I am killing time at work so it helps pass the time. You can tell by the way some of the messages you get from them that you are starting to piss them off. LOL.

Thanks for all the input guys. I figured it was not legit. If something seems too good to be true, it probably isn't.. I told the guy that I was no longer interested and to try the scam on someone else. Thanks again fellow sledders!!
