Shift Assist bearing ?????

I'm getting ready to install a shift assist bearing in my '09 M1000 and was curious if it was supposed to be slightly lubed or dry when installed. Nothing in the instructions said either way. Any other tips or tricks to do would be appreciated before I button it up.

Thanks,

P.P.

Depends if you have the new version or the old the new version is a sealed unit you would have to pry it apart old one came with a small tube of grease
bearings were exposed.

Most of them come slightly lubed, That is enough lube, I have had these run for 1500 miles with no problems. The lube would spin out if you put much on them. Also they just rotate with the spring so they are not spinning fast, dosnt need much lube for that.
E-Z Shift assist for sale check out in swapmeet /clutch.
