Sheridan, Dayton locals question

Planning another trip to the Northern Bighorns this year the first week of March. Last year we stayed in Sheridan and drove to Bear Lodge every day and rode from there. We liked Sheridan for the cost and eating out options every night. My question is are we risking a day or two of not be able to get up the mountain due to road closure from snow. Do they close hyw 14 often? Thanks in advance.

They get 14 opened pretty quick. Sheridan is a fun town! The drive up hung over sucks! Pick your poison...

It rarly gets closed may 2 times a year . there is a little motel in ranchster and a resuraunt here now also that serves breakfast - dinner. no night life though

Good info thanks. We are usually to wore out from digging out sleds all day for night life anyway.

highway rarely closes. If it does snow that much, ride up red grade to the top of the mountain
