Went to give my quad it's pre-season freshining up today, so I pulled the carbuerator off, sprayed it out with B12 Chemtool carb cleaner, got rid of the dynojets in it and put regular ones in ...

Went to put it back on the quad, and the damned slide is stuck.

It won't move freely ...

It looked like one of the wheels on the throttle valve assembly was sticking, so I tried to remove the single screw that holds it in place ...

Stripped the damned screw, so now I'm REALLY f*cked :(

So anyone know what I could do here or what a new carb for a 2007 YFZ450 costs? :mad::mad::mad:

Check out Edelbrock for a carb. We put one on a freinds Grizzly and worked real good. Not sure if it will work as well on the YFZ but will be cheaper than a new stock one.

OH SH1T!!!! just thought of something.. got a relative of a buddy of mine that is head parts dude at the yamaha dealer in town, he will hook me up.. lemme know, ill check on the friends and folk discount price..

As a last ditch effort you could take a cutting wheel and cut a section from the screw and us a flat blade screwdriver to undue, or shape it like a square and use a wrench.

Then replace screw.

Call up Packer and get you a Lectron. Should be under 4 quid and will liven that little girl right up!

i dont get it

slide is fine now after 4 hours of drying out

I used B12 Chemtooll carb spray

:confused::confused:
