So I've always just basically rode my sleds as delivered, whether from a dealer or private vendor... without messing with the skid "set up". I want to learn how to set up my suspension for my personal preference. My questions are:
1. How much difference does suspension "set up" really make?
2. Describe different ways to "set up" a suspension and the effects these adjustments will have.
I want to obtain the following results:
1. Get on top of deep fresh snow as quickly as possible.
2. Make the ride in survivable.
3. Not bottom when dropping or hitting sh-t when climbing.
My limited understanding of set up goes like this..... If you want the front end to raise easier you tighten up the front "skid" shock and loosen the rear....
I ride an 10 Everest XP800 with a TS rear.
