setting ski stance on 09 800 rmk

I did a search on this but didn't find anything. I want to set my ski stance narrower but it looks like my sled doesn't have the moveable collars? I was sure it would have them. I removed one ski to check it out but it appears the collar on the bottom of the spindle that makes the attatchment to the ski is one solid piece.:face-icon-small-con

Post a Pic? Stock, there should be one collar spacer on either side of the spindle. They do kinda stick on there til you pull them off.

Here, I attached a zoomed in pic of my ski set on the narrow setting on my '09. I have both spacers set on the inside. As you can see, they do get a little corroded. I like to take the spacers and shaft out and grease them a couple times a year.

ok, thanks, I'll have a better look at it when I get a chance! on mine it looks like the thin metal band on either side if the spindle is just there to hold the spindle centered.:face-icon-small-con

Does that setup make a difference on the way your sled turns side to side?

My 700 155" seems a little less "tippy" than my 600 144" was.

If you are comparing a 155 to a 144, the 144 should be a tad tippier as it has less footprint to roll over on its side.

Hey guys,
I will adjust mine throughout the year depending on riding conditions, and Ive noticed that mine rides much softer when the skis are adjusted all the way out. other that that theres not much difference in performance, maybe a little easier to tip up when they are in all the way.

I like my sled on the narrowest stance. It does make it more "tippy" as you say.

It depends on your riding though. If you like trail handling, or a stable sled, its best to keep in on the widest stance. If you like sidehilling/tree riding, the narrow stance is the best.
