Servo Motor Wiring

So I bought a used 2008 M8 Turbo, the servo motor had a yellow wire spliced into it (See picture). Anyone know why this wire is spliced into it. I followed it until it spliced into a black wire and then disappeared into a bundle of wires... My servo motor stopped working and I was thinking it had to do with this mysterious wiring. Before I strip the whole sled down looking for where this wire ends up, anyone seen this before. The rest of the wires go where they are supposed to, to the clip in connection. Thanks

Figured it out

That spliced wire goes to boondockers box, duh, to let the box know when it is open or closed. It is for the Exhaust Valve settings, to add fuel before or after exhaust valve opens, which I don't use. Just in case anyone was wondering...
