series 3 144 opinions

I was wondering what differences a series 3 144 2 inch off a 01 800 rmk and the series 4 tracks have. I am looking for a extra 144 track for my assault for the occasional trip out west. I found a nice used series 3 for cheap
. Thanks

Last winter I ran the series 4 ('07 600 144) for the first half of the season and a series 3 ('02 800 144) for the second half...These two tracks are as opposite as I've seen for stock tracks! The series 3 is a trencher in bottomless powder. The series 4 is too soft for steep spring climbs (dangerous in certain situations where you can't afford to spin out). This year I sold both those sleds and replaced them with a '14 600 155" series 5.1 which IMO is the best compromise for a full season track. So far, I happy with that decision.

Ok thanks for the input. The series 3 is in great shape and for a hundred bucks seemed like the way to go instead of a new challenger for the little use it will see. How does the stock cobra 144 work in the mountains. Is the cobra worth swapping out to a 2 inch for a 4 day trip to the snowies? Thanks for any input
