selling my sled???????????

hello guys ,i dont know if anybody can help me ,,but i want to sell my sled ,,and have a buyer for it.the thing is im still paying for it,,,if i sell it will i be in **** for selling it or will the buyer be in ****?????????? plzzzzzzz help!!!!!!!!!

There are titles, or at least and MSO. If you owe on the sled you will need to pay it off with the proceeds of the sale. If I were buying it I would want to do a wire transfer to the bank holding the note in order to pay it off, and then give you the remainder of the money. You give him a bill of sale, and then the title or MSO along with a lien satisfaction.

If the loan is not paid off, the sled could be reposessed and the buyer would be out and then he could sue you for his money back, not fun for anyone involved.

Hope that helps

WHAT IS A MSO??????????????????

Washington State does not have titles for sleds nor do they require a mso. Just a bill of sale with price and vin. BUT if you borrowed money on it, it is considered the collateral for the loan. If you sell it why don't you just pay it off or at least pay most of it down.

You should have gotten your MSO when you bought the sled from the dealer, it doesn't go to the lender.
I bought a sled through AC 0/0/0 program, and it was an unsecured loan. If I didn't pay it off, it would have affected my credit, but no reposession would have occured.
You can take your MSO down to the DMV and register the sled. You will then recieve a title for it. If you live in a state (like NV) where offroad registration isn't required, you can sell the sled with a bill of sale only, but for the buyer to register it in his state an MSO or title will be required.
If the sled is secured by the loan, then either you or the buyer will need to pay off the loan before he can register it. If I lived in a state where reg was required, I wouldn't buy used unless a title was in hand, and proof of sales tax was paid.
