Somewhere between too dumb to quit and flat earth
I will be selling my IQR in west Yellowstone this weekend if I can get what its worth out of it. What would you guys say the sleds worth?

Hear is what I have into it

$5200 for sled originally
$3000 for Bad oscar customs 800, porting, twin crankshop pipes, trued case, balanced crank
$2000 for ez-ryde
$1700 fox Evol X shocks
$1000 in misc parts
$3000 in labor
So it looks like we are at $15,900 and it comes with a 121 and 151 skid with a 121x1.5” track and a camo maverick 153x15x2.25.

I think I am going to need some where around $10,000 for it. If I get it tuned well for the low elevation, and no one buys it I will probably drag race it….. The belt explodes about the time I hit 85 mph so I hope the course is short!

5000 tops. you might be better to part it out. for 15,000 you could of had a real nice sled

I would say $5,500 max. Like mentioned above, way better off parting it out. The last two modified sleds I parted out I made $1,000 more than my last asking price.

Sorry man, I agree with these guys. and I have an mountain converted IQR.
So I know how much work and money goes into it. You are married to that baby.
Sir eric on hcs did a 800 cfi in one of his sleds, I about cried when I found out what he sold it for, less than 8 Gs.

It's hard enough to get rid of a sled these days but with a exploding belt it will be even harder

if you are building a mod sled, you do it because you love the process. To me, i is my artistic expression. Just like some people sew quilts or paint pictures, I like the process of acquiring and assembling a sled.

You will never get your money back. A good rule of thumb is 50%, labor is free. That puts your selling price around $6,000 and that is pretty close to market value.

I think i will just put a high sticker price on it and hope some one with a lot of money really likes it. If they take it for a test ride and are at least interested i am sure they will like it allot. If it doesn't sell i will be perfectly happy with it. The only reason i want to sell it is because i enjoy building them and i have quite the collection of parts. I want to build a fuel injected one using a small block 800 and then after a year or so it will probably get some sort of turbo.

It weighs 520 full of fuel and i have lightened it up since then so it’s probably 510. If i don't sell it then this summer it is getting a new tunnel, blue/white XP seat and tank, and ALOT of powder coating! I think i am going to buy a new hood and paint it orange like my last sled and then get a completely new rap from SCS.

And it breaks belts at 85 because it is geared low for mountain riding. You never go that fast in the mountains so why gear that high? At about 85-90 it reaches full shift and the engine is still increasing in RPM. About a half of a second after it reaches full shift that belt grenades.... BUT, not many sleds get to 60 as fast as it does!

He has a built a much better 800 cfi this year! A cross between an assault and IQR. RMK tank and steering post. Its so darn fun to ride!!! I doubt this one will go under 10,000 if and when he sells it!

Look at all the sleds for sale in swap meet to get an idea of the market for used and like new sleds.
Tuff sell I'd say.

this is the right attitude. You have a beauty sled and it is a shame to part with it unless it gives you the opportunity to build another one.

The problem for anywhere near 10K is that you're up against brand new top-shelf mountain sleds with full warranty, 2010 models at this point. If you want the money out of it, parting it out will be the only way to go. Who knows tho, you could get lucky.

this is some funny ****

Exactly!

So I_OWN_U, do you ride for 3SW?

Nope i bought the sled from Ryan Roller. At Some point i will have SCS make me a new rap but until then it looks fine. I will probably ride with them in spring some.

Matt Is, Ryan his brother mostly films but yeah he kind of rides for them. Mostly helps them build jumps and stuff. Ray, Matt, and Vaughn do most the riding.

Rolling chassis $3000
EZ Ryde $1500
Evols $1500
800 mod $3000
Pipes $800
Boss Seat $500

Your over 10K and you still have parts left to sell. I say part it out and build the new sled you want.. JHMO
